It
is said that women in labor leave their bodies.
They
travel to the stars to collect the souls of their babies,
and
return to this world together.

This gift guide lies close to my heart because I know the intensity of
those first few weeks and months of being a mom. Such a perfect time to
nurture, support, and fill any new mom’s cup until it overflows with love and
support because we all know that it takes a village.
Netflix
Gift Card: This gets you 3 glorious months
of cozying up with baby and binge watching shows
together, which is typically the exact amount of time until maternity leave
ends.
Tired
as a Mother Sweatshirt: All I can say about this one is
that it’s still accurate, 3 years later.
Baby’s
Initial Necklace: Available in gold, silver, or rose gold. This is the
necklace I wear every day. Currently 20% off, so run!
The
Second Nine Months: This book made me laugh until I cried. The realest,
truest, rawest words put to paper about what being a brand new mom is really
like. So nice to have something so entertaining and relatable during those
marathon nursing sessions that seem to never end. I’ve given a copy to all of
my mom friends as a right of passage.
Ello
Mug: Because you
can never drink enough water when nursing. This one is a great mug to have on
hand because all parts are dishwasher safe, it has a lid (because I always
seemed to be toppling glasses over when fumbling around in the dark), and it’s
insulated to keep drinks cold OR hot. I prefer this over a straw tumbler
because I never feel like I can get straws that clean.
Down
Baby Wearing Coat: This coat is absolutely amazing. You can wear baby in a carrier and then bundle into
a down pouch that zips into your coat. That same down pouch can be removed from
the coat and used as a stroller blanket or a baby carrier cover without the
coat worn by you. And best of all, when you’re done baby-wearing, set aside the
down pouch and use as a regular coat going forward. Real fur detailing and real
down filling for a great price. Size up one for the best fit.
Nursing
Tanks: These go under eeeeeeeeverything
during those nursing days. This set gives you three neutral colors to have on
hand.
Under
Eye Concealer: To brighten up sleepy eyes.
This, a swipe or two of mascara, and some lip gloss got me through most days.
Slipper
Socks: Cute, warm, and comfortable for
staying cozied up at home with baby.
Stress
Relief Candle: On the longest witching hour nights, the one sure thing that
always helped was dimming lights and lighting candles. This comes in a gift
box.
Teething
Necklace: I wore a similar necklace during
teething days. A good way to look accessorized while baby grabs and puts
anything and everything to his/her mouth.
