April Amazon Favorites

Somehow, it's May, and the weather has finally taken a turn for the better over here! We're soaking in the sunshine and spending all of our evenings outside, and even bringing our dinner out to picnic on the patio on most nights. My April Amazon favorites were, in large part, preparing me for exactly this, and they're some of my favorites finds.

The Little Book of Hygge: This little book had some life (or at least mindset) changing wisdom, and I loved reading it. Hygge (pronounced hoo-ga) is all about comfort, togetherness, and well-being. I’ve been reading it outside on the patio during any moments of quiet.

Instant Pot LUX Mini: I finally pulled the trigger on the Instant Pot, and it’s just as good as everyone says. I got the LUX Mini model, which is just big enough for 2-3 servings (i.e. for Matt and me). I especially love this since I’m not a huge fan of leftovers, and we eat what we make.  I can get dinner ready in an hour or less, and have already made ribs, stroganoff, pot roast, several varieties of chicken, and pulled pork.

Wool Dryer Balls: I got these based off of a recommendation on an environmental friendly alternative to drier sheets and fabric softeners.  I add a few drops of essential oil to the ball to create a natural fresh scent. They’ve been just as efficient as a traditional dryer sheet and as an added bonus get our clothing to dry even faster.

Outdoor String Lights: These add so much ambiance to our outdoor living space, and also keep us outside after the sun goes down.

Travel Wallet: I’m headed off to Stockholm tomorrow (!!!) and got this pretty little travel wallet which is just big enough for a passport, boarding pass, and credit cards, and is large enough to hold foreign currency (which is usually larger/wider than the US Dollar).

Mermaid Swimsuit: This one is on order to celebrate our pool opening! Love the mixed and matched patterns and the pretty coral hue.

First Aid Kit: Our nights outside have already led to lots of skinned knees (and foreheads, chins, elbows…) and this First Aid kit has been much needed to quickly grab some sanitizing pads and Band-Aids.

Summery Cuffed Earrings: These are just the prettiest earrings I own. I get compliments every single time I wear them.

Knotted Top: This reminds me so much of the Free People knotted top for a fraction of the price. I love this with white cut off denim shorts. It’s so flattering and just right for spring and summer weather.

Wet Skin Kids Sunscreen: This find was golden—finally a sunscreen you can apply to wet skin. We’ve had the sprinkler on for the kids to run through a dozen times already and this is quick and easy to spray on in order to keep their skin safe.
